Zhu Zhu Pets Chunk is the white surfing hamster, who is the "cool dude". Chunk and Mr. Squiggles are the boy hamsters and Num Nums and Pipsqueak are the girls. Mr. Squiggles is light brown and is more of an authority figure. Num Nums is grey and she loves to eat. Pipsqueak hamster is yellow and she is adventurous and active. All four Zhu Zhu Pets are special, however, because they are programmed to look and act like the real thing.

Zhu Zhu Pets Chunk, like all the Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters, allow kids to have the fun of owning a hamster without the mess, work, and the trauma of the impending hamster death (hamsters live, on average, less than three years). With these little guys, when you are done, you just switch them off and tuck them up in their hamster blankets. No mess, no unwanted pets, no feeding or cleaning.
